Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd ( ) will invest Rs 900 crore to set up a 40,000 metric tonne per annum (MTPA) plant for manufacturing melamine, which used for making plastics, fertiliser and crockery products, at Vadodara.
GSFC has informed BSE that the company is proposing to set up 40,000 MTPA melamine project at an estimated cost of Rs 900 crores. The setting up of this project would be the import substitution for the company, added GSFC. The project is expected to be commissioned in the third quarter of FY 2017-18.
GSFC already has two melamine plants having rated capacities of 5000 TPA and 10000 TPA.
