Through a long-term contract, the 600-tonne-per-day plant will supply on-site, high-purity oxygen and nitrogen to Oxiran, a leading industrial company focused on the development and sale of ethylene oxide derivative (EOD) chemicals in China. EOD chemicals are used in a variety of applications including the manufacturing of bottles and production of polyester fibres.
John Panikar, president of Praxair Asia, said, “As the exclusive industrial gas supplier in the park, we look forward to supporting Oxiran’s growth and leadership position in China’s ethylene oxide derivative market while also meeting the needs of a diverse set of customers throughout the region.”
