Over the years, Flavor Infusion has built up distinct expertise in beverage application and development as well as process technologies for natural beverage applications. Since its foundation in 2004, the company has strongly benefited from the positive dynamics in the US beverages market which, according to estimates, is growing by 5-7 percent annually. Flavor Infusion has continuously expanded its customer base that comprises some of the largest and most reputable global beverage and food manufacturers as well as regional champions. Furthermore, the company developed a diversified portfolio of proprietary beverage bases, formulas and marketed applications that are acquired through the transaction.
Symrise will integrate the activities of California-based Flavor Infusion, which generates turnover of about $ 10 million, in its US Flavor & Nutrition business immediately after closing, which is expected in the third quarter 2015.
Symrise is a global supplier of fragrances, flavorings, cosmetic active ingredients and raw materials, as well as functional ingredients. Its clients include manufacturers of perfumes, cosmetics, food and beverages, the pharmaceutical industry and producers of nutritional supplements and pet food.
