McNally Bharat Engineering inks MoU with Japan's Nippo

The company is looking to jointly work with the Japanese firm for road projects in India

McNally Bharat Engineering Company (MBE), the Kolkata based engineering company, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nippo India Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan's Nippo Corporation, to jointly work on road construction projects in India.
 
“Keeping in view the need of our country and future generations to come, there is ardent necessity to improve upon the technology deployed in present highway construction especially since it constitutes the main arteries through which trade and commerce of our country thrives and manifests for growth. To cater to the future demands, MBE has signed the MoU with Nippo, the largest and most innovative rad construction company of the Japan," said McNally Bharat Engineering in a press release.
 
Nippo is a global player in transportation and infrastructure, having constructed a number of highways, airport runways, bridges and racing tracks in Japan and other countries. Nippo has developed various specialised technologies for the road sector which help reduce cost of road repaving and repairs. These technologies are well suited for construction of border roads where low temperatures are encountered.
 
To forge ahead in construction sector, especially road and highway construction, McNally Bharat Engineering has expanded its capabilities in recent years.
