AIIMS to join hands with Japanese university for research
India's premier medical institute to collaborate with Osaka University for low-cost surgical devices research
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is planning to partner with Japan’s Osaka University for establishing a collaborative research and development programme for low-cost surgical devices, according to an IANS report.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was expected to be signed by two institutes on Monday.
According to IANS report, a senior AIIMS official stated, a team of doctors and engineers from the Osaka University will be visiting AIIMS during Oct 13-14 followed by a joint workshop to take the issue forward.
