Tinna Rubber to supply crumb rubber modifier to Mangalore Refinery

The company will also operate the plant of MRPL to convert bitumen into crumb rubber modified bitumen

Tinna Rubber and Infrastructure Ltd, the tyre recycling company, has bagged contract from Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited for supplying 6720 metric tonne of crumb rubber modifier. “The company won an order from Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), Mangalore, for supply of 6720 MT of crumb rubber modifier and for operation & maintenance of MRPL’s crumb rubber modified bitumen (CRMB) plant for a period of 3 years,” said Tinna Rubber in a BSE filing on December 5, 2015.
 
Tinna Rubber will supply the modifier as well as operate the plant of MRPL used to convert bitumen into crumb rubber modified bitumen. The contract is exclusively tor TRIL and will not be shared with any other supplier or operator, said the company.
 
Tinna Rubber is a fully integrated company converting waste tyres into downstream value added products. Considered to be one of the leading producers of tyre crumb in India, using about 50,000 MT of tyre rubber, the company is also the largest processor of rubberised asphalt (CRMB), which is used in roads to increase their longevity.
