UAC Global acquires Thai firm Advance Polymers for $ 22 mn

Thailand’s UAC Global Public Company has acquired Advance Polymers & Chemicals Co Ltd (APC), a manufacturer of water borne polymer products, for Baht 730 million ($ 22.39 million). As per the agreement, APC will sell and transfer the entire business including assets, liabilities, other agreements, employees, licenses and rights relating to business operation of APC to UAC Global.
 
UAC Global has established a new subsidiary, UAC Advance Polymers & Chemicals Co Ltd, In order to carry out this transaction, which is expected to be concluded before April 2015.
 
APC manufactures and supplies chemicals, with latex as the main product (polymer emulsions and polymer solutions), for various industries including painting and coating, printing inks, textile and fibre fill, adhesives, adhesive tape, paper and packaging, etc. The products are almost totally distributed in Thailand market. APC has a factory located in Sikhio, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, with a maximum production capacity of 27,750 tonnes per year.
 
UAC Global supplies various kind of chemicals, base oils and equipment to serve higher demand in petrochemicals, oil & gas, refineries, polymer, plastic, chemicals and power plants.
