Statistics say that out of the 500 Million + Indian women, almost 50% are between 18-35 years old. These women are navigating between the different stages of womanhood. Most women are likely to experience intimacy, infertility, pregnancy, and motherhood, for the first time. During the various stages of her life, a woman is prone to experiencing multiple physical and mental challenges such as low sex drive, PCOS, and postpartum depression. 1 in 5 women faces issues because of PCOS in India, according to a report published by Metropolis Healthcare in 2015. Also, as per research conducted by the Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction in 2018, infertility affects 10 to 14 percent of the Indian population. Approximately 27.5 million couples who are actively trying to conceive suffer from problems linked to infertility.Unfortunately, women have googled their symptoms for years or have been seeking help from their family or friends, who may provide answers based on experiences but not necessarily approved by the doctors, which could result in wrong diagnosis & treatment.

Speaking of women's health issues is still taboo in many families. And while the Internet offers some answers, not all are reliable, fact-checked information. Add to that the most important factor- every woman's journey through the different stages of womanhood is personal and unique to her. Vaishnavi Raju, the founder of Hera, saw the problem, the disconnect in the information provided, and realized she may actually have a solution. And thus, Hera was born.

In its simplest form, Hera is a platform that helps women with the information they seek and provides them with the solutions they need. It bridges a vital gap in the healthcare system that overlooks women-specific preventative care. Hera also built tools to help them diagnose their health condition across various stages such as intimacy, fertility, pregnancy, maternity etc.

With access to a team of licensed women's healthcare experts, women get support to alter their lifestyle through diet and nutrition and tackle common health conditions such as hormonal imbalances, pregnancy nutrition, and lactation. They also offer personalized Follow-Up Care, to constantly help our customers keep track of their health.

Hera is helping women talk more freely about their private and personal healthcare. With access to follow-up care and answering health-related queries, Hera is encouraging women to take charge of their health, the simpler and effective way. Hera engages its customers through 3 stages - one by providing them relevant information, second by enabling a platform to purchase products that meet their health needs and third by allowing them to be a part of a larger community that offers them a space to talk, listen, share and seek help.

Vaishnavi Raju believes in the vast potential Hera has to educate and help more women across the country and eventually across the globe. With plans to expand and include more products in Hera's product range, such as Home Tests, Personal Care Products, and more, she is building Hera as the one-stop destination for women's health in India.
