Stock Market Close: Here are the important levels on rupee

Stock Market Close Highlights: Rupee traded sharply stronger, appreciating by ₹1.28 or nearly 1.40 per cent following the US–India trade deal announcement. 

 

At present, USD/INR is quoting near 90.25. The immediate resistance for the rupee is seen around 89.90, while 90.50 now acts as an important base support.

As long as the rupee sustains above the 90.50 zone, overall bias remains positive, with appreciation likely to continue if global risk sentiment remains stable and capital inflows strengthen.

Stock Market Close: Levels to watch on Sensex, Nifty on Wednesday

Stock Market Close Highlights: The market opened with a gap of over 1,220 points on the Nifty and 3,500 points on the Sensex, but due to temporary overbought conditions, it witnessed some profit booking at higher levels.

We are of the view that the short-term market outlook remains positive, but a strategy of 'buying on dips and selling on rallies' would be ideal for traders.

On the downside, retracement support is placed at 25,350-25,500 for the Nifty, and 82,500-83,000 for the Sensex. Similarly, 25,900-26,000, and 84300-84500 would act as immediate resistance levels for the bulls on Nifty and Sensex, respectively.

However, below 25,350/82500, the uptrend could become vulnerable.

Stock Market LIVE Updates: Sharing his views on the India-US trade deal, Shankar Sharma, Founder, GQuant Investech, said prima facie informations suggests India will have to import $500 billion of American goods. India's current trade numbers are nowhere close to this on an aggregate basis. 

 

However, even if it is divided annually over five years or $100 billion each year -- India will export $80 billion annually compared to import worth $100 billion a year. This implies the trade surplus with the US will change to a trade deficit.

Adani Ports' consolidated net profit after tax (PAT) increased 21 per cent Y-o-Y to ₹3,043 crore in Q3FY26.

Sequentially, PAT declined 2.1 per cent from ₹3,120.2 crore.

Further, Adani Ports' Q3 revenue rose 22% Y-o-Y to ₹9,704.6 crore 

The Adani Group company's Ebitda also advanced 20.5% to ₹5,785 crore

Stock Market LIVE Updates: BNP Paribas says the India-US trade deal is another development supportive of our positive view on Indian equities for 2026.

In 2025, the government lowered income tax and GST rates, RBI lowered interest rates and improved liquidity. We are starting to see the benefits reflected in high frequency economic indicators. We are also expecting a recovery in Indian earnings growth in key sectors, such as banks, autos, and consumer, and even IT services earnings have seen slight upgrades in the Q3FY26 earnings season.

The Union budget is supportive of infrastructure spending in FY27 after weak capex in recent years.

In Jan 2026, India concluded trade deals with both the EU and the US which are its two largest export markets (the US and the EU together took 36 per cent of India's 2024 exports).

 

We see benefits for Indian exporters, especially in the labour oriented sectors, such as textiles, gems & jewellery, electronics and transport equipment, as they become more competitive post the trade deals with the EU and the US.

Tariffs on Indian goods are now slightly favourable against some of the Asian neighbours who compete for the same exports pie. Improving exports outlook and potential return of FPI flows would be positive for INR.

 

We expect FPI heavy sectors such as financials and IT services to benefit from return of FPI inflows. Benefits will be mostly in the form of valuation multiple expansion.
