Kalpataru Projects International on Thursday said the company and its arms secured orders worth Rs 2,774 crore. Kalpataru Projects International Ltd (KPIL), one of the largest Engineering & Construction companies listed in India along with its international subsidiaries have secured new orders/notification of awards of Rs 2,774 crore, a company statement said. These include new orders in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business in overseas markets and the EPC project for Extension of Airport from Airports Authority of India (AAI). The new orders also include Design & Build project for residential buildings in India. The calculation and collection of revenue from the Manohar International Airport will commence in December, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told the assembly on Monday. Responding to questions raised by Goa Forward Party (GFP) MLA Vijai Sardesai, Sawant said the revenue collection holiday got extended due to the delay in completing phase I of the airport owing to litigation and the COVID-19 pandemic. These things are beyond the control of the concessionaire and the government, the chief minister said. "The scheduled deadline for the project completion and the revenue holiday period got extended because of these factors, resulting in the commencement delay," he said. Sawant said the calculation and collection of the revenue from the airport will be effective after December 7, 2024, with the state's share of profit at 36.99 per cent. State-owned Power Finance Corporation (PFC) on Tuesday announced that it has sanctioned Rs 15,000 crore loans for various projects and also forayed into funding of airport projects. "To reaffirm its commitment towards developing the power sector of the North Eastern Region, PFC held its recent board meeting in Shillong, Meghalaya," a BSE filing said. PFC has sanctioned loans amounting to Rs 15,000 crore for various projects during its board meeting, it stated. As part of its diversification strategy and funding for infrastructure projects, PFC sanctioned its maiden financing for a greenfield airport project in Andhra Pradesh, it added.
