India's fresh fruits and vegetables exports to Qatar has jumped by 15 per cent in the last two weeks due to their supply disruptions from Saudi Arabia and its other neighbouring countries following closure of land boundaries.Supply of fresh fruits and vegetables from India to Qatar boosted since early this month after Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Bahrain and Yemen announced breaking of diplomatic ties and severed land, sea and air access to Doha. Maldives and Libya joined the fray later. Consequently, the importers in Qatar have stepped up their fruits and vegetables supply orders to India.To increase the immediate demand, however, importers in Doha have also started transporting through air to avoid a sharp increase in inflation due to shortage.
