Senior BJP leader and minister (fielded from Siwan in BJP’s lists); a frontline BJP campaigner in the region.
Pandey is a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in Bihar has served as the state's Health Minister and is a member of the Bihar Legislative Council. He was also the BJP Bihar state president from 2013 to 2017.
 
There have been political speculations that BJP might consider Mangal Pandey as a future Chief Ministerial candidate, as suggested by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, although the official NDA stance is to continue with Nitish Kumar as their CM candidate for the 2025 elections.
