142 Encephalitis patients discharged from SKMCH: Superintendent Sunil Shahi

Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Jun 20 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Superintendent of Sri Krishna Medical College (SKMCH) Dr Sunil Shahi on AES cases said, "142 patients have been discharged from this hospital. Minimum 35 will be discharged today. In total 398 children have been admitted to the hospital. Today, two children died due to the syndrome." Earlier today former Member of Parliament Sharad Yadav visited the hospital where several children died due to AES in Bihar's Muzaffarpur on Thursday. Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) is a viral disease that causes flu like symptoms such as high fever, and headache and in extreme cases can lead to coma, brain dysfunction.
