271 couples tie knots at mass wedding in Surat

Surat (Gujarat), Dec 22 (ANI): 271 girls got married at a mass wedding event in Gujarat's Surat on December 21. This is the 9th consecutive year in Surat where the girls who do not have father got married at the mass marriage event. The 271 girls include women from different communities including Islam. The Muslim girls got married as per their rituals. The organizers also gave helmets to the families of the grooms to persuade the people to follow traffic safety rules.
