New Delhi, Aug 15 (ANI): Commemorating India's 72nd Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort for the fifth time on Wednesday. Continuing his legacy of delivering long speeches during his address to nation on Independence Day each year, he spoke over 80 minutes. PM Modi had last year spoken for 57 minutes. This was his shortest Independence Day speeches. In 2016, he delivered the longest ever Independence Day speech by any Indian Prime Minister and had spoken over 96 minutes. He spoke for over 86 minutes in 2015 and 65 minutes in 2014. Until 2015, the record for the longest Independence Day address by any Indian Prime Minister belonged to the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru in 1947. He had addressed the nation for 72 minutes. PM Modi's predecessor Manmohan Singh, delivered 10 speeches during his tenure from 2004 to 2013, but his speeches touched the mark of 50 minutes only on two occasions- 2005 and 2006. His
