Ballia (UP), Aug 29 (ANI): In an unusual incident, some students of Govt primary school in Ballia's Rampur village are bringing plates from their home for mid-day meals. They bring plates to eat separately from SC/ST and Dalit students. "Anyone can eat in the plates available in schools, so we bring separate plates from home," said a student. School Principal P Gupta said, "We ask students to sit together and eat but they go separate ways as soon as we leave. Maybe they've learnt it from home. We've tried a lot to teach that they're equals but students from upper caste try to stay away from those of lower-caste."
