Himachal Pradesh holds "State Olympics" in the capital

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Jun 23 (ANI): In a bid to promote sports in the state, Olympic day run was organised in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla on June 23. The run was organised by the Himachal Pradesh Olympic Association. Over 600 people and others participated in the 4 kilometers long run. The run was also organised to encourage the youth to stay away from drugs. While speaking to ANI, a participant said, "The main objective of run is to encourage more people to participate in games. The run will not only help in improving the environment and ecology of the region but would also help people to keep themselves healthy and stay away from drugs."
