Port Louis, March 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met his Mauritian counterpart, Sir Anerood Jugnauth and discussed ways to further deepen strategic partnership between India and Mauritius. Earlier in the day, PM Modi was accorded the ceremonial guard of honour upon his arrival at Port Louis in Mauritius. A group named 'Hindu Shakti Sena' welcomed PM Modi in Port Louis. Prime Minister Modi, who is on a two-day visit to the island nation, will be the Chief Guest at the Independence Day celebrations in the nation on March 12. The Prime Minister will also address the National Assembly of the country. He will also participate in the joint commissioning of Indian-built Offshore Patrol Vessel Barracuda, and in the beginning of construction works for the building of World Hindi Secretariat.

Parle Agro, which owns popular beverage brands such as Frooti, Appy, SMOODH and Bailley, has recorded a multi-fold growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 115.38 crore in FY25, while revenue rose 5 per cent to Rs 3,284.13 crore.
Its total income, which includes other income, was at Rs 3,370.14 crore, up 5 per cent annually in the fiscal year ended March, 2025, according to financial data accessed through business intelligence platform Tofler.
Parle Agro's net profit was at Rs 17.3 crore, and its revenue from operations was at 3,126.06 crore a year before in FY24.
Its advertising promotional expenses declined 7.74 per cent to Rs 256.83 crore in FY25 as against Rs 278.38 crore recorded in FY24.
Prakash J Chauhan-led Parle Agro is an unlisted entity which mainly operates in the Indian beverage industry.
Parle Agro's revenue from domestic sales was Rs 3,214.27 crore, and exports were at Rs 30.07 crore in FY25.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit West Bengal's Nadia district on Saturday, where he will inaugurate national highway projects and address a public rally, amid heightened political tensions over the ongoing SIR exercise in the state.
This would be Modi's first visit to the state since the draft SIR rolls were published, and the third in the past five months.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive here on Saturday for a two-day visit to Assam during which he will launch several projects, interact with BJP workers and address public meetings, officials said.
The PM will unveil an 80-foot-tall statue of Assam's first chief minister Gopinath Bardoloi, sculpted by eminent artist Ram Sutar, outside the new terminal of the airport named after him, they said.
Sutar, who died on Wednesday at the age of 101 years, had also sculpted a 125-ft-high statue of legendary Ahom general Lachit Barphukan, who had defeated the Mughals, at Jorhat. This was also unveiled by the PM in March 2024.
After unveiling the statue, he will inaugurate the Rs 4,000-crore new terminal of the Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport here and spend around 15 minutes there, the officials said.
