Bishkek, July 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday issued a joint statement with Kyrgystan's President Almazbek Atambayev. Modi said that he was pleased to meet President Atambayev adding that his contribution to democracy and development is admirable. Modi said India and Kyrgyzstan are united by the bonds of shared democratic values and seek a peaceful and secure neighbourhood, in the time of challenges in the region. He said that his visit to all five countries in region demonstrates the importance that we attach to new level of relationship with Central Asia. Modi highlighted that both India and Kyrgystan have shared interest in combating extremism and terrorism. He further expressed his delight that both countries' election commissions have signed an agreement on cooperation.
