Who is Nityanand Rai Yadav?

Nityanand Rai Yadav is an Indian politician and BJP leader. He is currently serving as the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and represents Bihar's Ujiarpur constituency in Lok Sabha.
 
In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, he defeated RJD’s Alok Kumar Mehta by 60,102 votes.
 
Born in 1966, he is a graduate from Raj Narayan College, Hajipur, Bihar
 
He had represented Hajipur constituency in Bihar legislative assembly winning elections since 2000 till he was elected for the parliament. He has also been the Bihar state president for BJP.
 
He has been the Yadav face that BJP tried using to capture RJD’s traditional Yadav vote bank in Bihar.
