Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of News Corporation, has announced his engagement with model and rock star Mick Jagger’s former girlfriend Jerry Hall.

The news comes a day after the new couple attended the Golden Globes in Los Angeles — arm-in-arm and posing for photographers — according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Murdoch (84) and Hall (59) announced their engagement in the ‘Births, Marriages and Deaths’ section of The Times. The newspaper is owned by Murdoch’s NewsCorp.

The advertisement read: “Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch; and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger; are delighted to announce their engagement.”

Murdoch’s exes

1. Patricia Booker

Murdoch married Booker, his first wife, in 1956. A former flight attendant from Melbourne, Patricia had a daughter, Prudence, with Murdoch. They divorced in 1967.

2. Anna Torv

Murdoch went on to marry Torv, who used to work for his Sydney paper The Daily Telegraph, in 1967. Murdoch and Torv had three children — Elisabeth, Lachlan and James.

During her marriage with Murdoch, two of Torv’s books — Family Business (1988) and Coming to Terms (1991) — were published by Murdoch’s company. They divorced in June 1999. According to the International Business Times, Torv received $1.2 billion worth of assets as settlement.

3. Wendi Deng

Seventeen days after his divorce with Torv, Murdoch married Wendi Deng. At the time of the marriage, Murdoch was 68 years old and Wendi was a 30-year-old newly appointed vice-president of STAR TV.

They had two children — Grace Helen and Chloe. They divorced in 2013.
