Eicher-Polaris launches \'Multix\' PUV in Madhya Pradesh

According to the company, the vehicle is designed to meet the requirements of independent businessmen; there are an estimated 50 million to 80 million such entrepreneurs in the country.

The four-stroke, direct-injection BS III diesel engine delivers a mileage of 28.45 kmpl. The body is made of Flexituff, a highly durable material, resistant to rust and easy to repair at affordable rates.

"At present, we have four dealers in Madhya Pradesh including Indore, Bhopal, Rewa and Shahdol. By December we will raise this number to 15," Eicher-Polaris CEO Radhesh C Verma said during the launch of the vehicle.

Multix will be manufactured at the company's plant in Kookas, Rajasthan. The installed capacity is 60,000 which can be enhanced to 1,20,000 in case of need, he said.

Eicher-Polaris is a 50:50 joint venture between Eicher Motors and Polaris Industries Inc.
