Adrobe Networks Private Limited, a Hyderabad-based ad-commerce start-up, said that it was going to commence its operations, Hyderabad to start with, besides launching the Android version of its mobile app on October 22, 2015.

Incepted six months ago by four co-founders including V Sree and A Pranusha, Adrobe is a hyperlocal online marketplace service provider that offers almost 40 categories like gadgets, groceries, mobiles, stationery, fashion, footwear, electronics, jewellery, food and furniture via a single mobile app.

"About 500 local vendors (offline retailers) have already registered with Adrobe and over 20 new vendors are being added every single day, offering more than 1,000 offers on products and services in different locations in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad," said V Sree, co-founder and marketing director of Adrobe.

Unlike the majority of e-commerce companies which charge commissions to vendors, Adrobe shows them an affordable and viable rental model, he said, adding that Adrobe was targeting to have a vendor base of 10,000 by March 2017 in Hyderabad, before expanding its footprint to other metros in the country.

Stating that monthly rental advertisements would be the primary source of revenues for Adrobe, Sree said the company was expecting to reach the break-even point by March 2017.
