Andhra Bank Vizag zone to add 10 branches

BS Reporter Visakhapatnam The Visakhapatnam zone of Andhra Bank is planning to add 10 more branches and 16 ATMs by the end of this fiscal, said A Narayana Prasad, zonal manager.
The zone comprises Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts. It has 75 branches and 50 ATMs at present.
To mark its 90th year, the bank launched the 'Navshakthi' project at select branches. This is aimed at improving customer services by installing cash deposit and cheque deposit machines, self printing pass book, kiosk and internet kiosk.
The Vizag zone would have 10 such branches by the end of this fiscal, he added. The zone's total business stood at Rs 6,289 crore, and by the end of current fiscal, it expected this to increase to Rs 7,400 crore (Rs 4,900 crore deposits and Rs 2,500 crore advances), he said.
