Anjan Chatterjee plans to do up his restaurants

According to Anjan Chatterjee, chairman and managing director of Speciality Restaurants, "We will renovate some of our existing restaurants like Mainland China, Oh!Calcutta, among others, in sync with changing consumer preferences. The new-look restaurants will sport new-look walls, new decor, new furniture and even new upholstery. This is important as restaurants constantly get boring to consumers in the face of competition. So innovation and good service is the only way to retain consumers."

The company is also in the process of setting up new brands and chalking out differentiation strategy for all.
