Infosys Technologies always manages to get the best-in-class talent from around the country but iGate Global Solutions, a fully integrated technology and operations firm which is headed by former Infoscian Phaneesh Murthy, seem to be providing a challenging environment for some key function heads of Infosys.

iGate Global Solutions on Thursday announced the appointment of Srinjay Sengupta as its Chief Sales Officer. He will be heading the sales function globally.

He moves from Infosys where he was vice president - Europe, with revenue, profit centre, sales and delivery team responsibilities. In this role, Sengupta was managing a team of 1,500 people.

He joined Infosys in 1996 to head the UK operations, went on to head sales for Europe and from 2002 managed Europe as an Integrated Business Unit.

Besides Phaneesh Murthy and Sengupta, three key individuals from Infosys have so far also moved to iGate. Madhav Mohan, who was previously Infosys's head of Sales in Canada, is currently head of sales for iGate in North America.

Mohan Sekhar, who was previously Infosys's head of North America delivery, is currently head of iGate's Global Delivery, IT Services. Jessie Paul, who was previously the global brand manager at Infosys, is currently the Global Marketing head at iGate.
