Private lender Axis Bank posted its net profit up 35.82 per cent at Rs 891.36 crore compared to Rs 655.98 crore in the December quarter a year ago.
Total income was recorded at Rs 4,986.02 crore, up 28.77 per cent from the previous year's December quarter at Rs 3,871.74 crore.
The other income for the quarter grew by 16.19 per cent Rs 1,148 crore as against Rs 988 crore in the same period a year ago.
At 3:20 pm, the shares of Axis Bank closed up 2.18 per cent at 1,227.55 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
