Navratna company Bharat Electronics (BEL) today said its net profit declined by 64.29 per cent to Rs 199.74 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, over the same period corresponding fiscal.
Total income of the company decreased to Rs 1,914.50 crore for the quarter ended March 31, compared to Rs 2,753.48 crore during the same period previous fiscal, BEL said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
For the year ended March 2010, the company posted a net profit of Rs 733.67 crore, compared to Rs 745.75 crore in the last fiscal.
The company reported a total income of Rs 5,373.76 crore for the year ended March 2010, compared to Rs 4,648.75 crore in the previous fiscal.
Shares of BEL were trading at Rs 1,837.80 on BSE, up 1.08 per cent from its previous close.
