The funds from Mitsui will help Crayon expand into newer markets such as Japan and other customers. The target customers in Japan would include banks, hotels, advertising and media.
Mitsui will look to add benefits, to their own subsidiaries and investee companies in retail, CRM and Digital advertising, a company statement said.
Crayon has previously raised around $10 million from investors such as Jungle Ventures and Spring Seeds.
"Mitsui is not just bringing in funds, but also a deep faith in our vision - to build a personalised choice marketplace, where customers, enterprises and merchants can all experience the magic of choice," said Suresh Shankar, founder of Crayon Data in a statement.
