BigAdda, a social networking site owned by Reliance Big Entertainment, has signed a marketing tie-up with GMR’s Delhi Daredevils team for the coming IPL cricket season, to increase traffic to its website. It is also in the final stages of signing revenue-sharing tie-ups with other three other IPL teams.
A revenue sharing deal between BigAdda and its deal partners has been averaging Rs 20-25 lakh each, but a similar deal with an IPL team is expected to be upwards of Rs 55-60 lakh.
Mandar Natekar, BigAdda’s national sales head, confirmed the development. While there won’t be any revenue sharing between Delhi Daredevils and BigAdda, he said, the site would be the team’s exclusive social networking partner. The team will have its lead players like Virendar Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir blogging exclusively here during all 40-days of the IPL season.
