Bilt net up 4.6%

Ballarpur Industries, manufacturer of writing and printing paper, has posted a 4.6-per-cent increase in net profit for the quarter ended September 2008.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs 76.47 crore as compared to Rs 73.07 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year. Net sales of the company have also increased 17.3 per cent at Rs 771.82 crore as against Rs 657.73 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year.
BILT is an arm of the $3-billion Avantha Group. Its subsidiaries include Sabah Forest Industries (SFI) in Malaysia and BILT TreeTech (BTTL), which runs BILT's farm forestry programme in several states in India.
