Tata Steel rebranded on Monday its prized acquisition Corus as Tata Steel Europe to make the Tata brand more prominent across Europe and reinforce the Anglo- Dutch company’s sense of belonging to the Indian conglomerate.

“The Tata Steel name and logo will begin to appear on the company’s transactional documents, product deliveries, locations and vehicles,” said a company statement announcing the rebranding.

Tata Steel had acquired Corus in April 2007 for over $12 billion in a transaction that created one of the world’s largest steel makers, with a major presence in Europe as well as Asia and had started the rechristening exercise some two years back.
