Cox & Kings profit up 79% to Rs 264 crore

The company also reported a foreign exchange gain of Rs 123 crore

Tour operator Cox & Kings posted 79% increase in net profit on the back of increase in revenue and foreign exchange gains in second quarter FY 2014. Profit after tax increased from Rs 148 crore to Rs 264 crore in second quarter FY 2014.

 Revenue grew 19% to Rs 819 crore. The company also reported a foreign exchange gain of Rs 123 crore.

"Our Q2 FY 14 performance has been in line with our expectations. As this is the best quarter for our education and camping division profitability for the quarter has been largely driven by these two divisions. We are very positive on global as well as Indian tourism growth,'' he added.
