SGFL has its manufacturing facilities for SSP in Chittorgarh district, Rajasthan with capacity of SSP powder of 1,98,000 tonnes per annum and SSP granules of 60,000 tonnes per annum. However, the SSP production had come down to just 3,495 tonnes per annum in 2007-08. The renewed interest of DSCL has been triggered by the recently announced central policy on SSP fertilisers.
A DSCL statement said that the addition of SGFL will enable DSCL to strengthen its presence in the phosphatic fertiliser segment and meet the growing requirement of SSP in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh region.
