City-based DQ Entertainment (International) Limited, an animation, game art and entertainment company, has reported a 34.71% dip in net profit to Rs 14.18 crore for the quarter ended September 30, as against Rs 21.72 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Total income of the company stood at Rs 64.34 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 62.97 in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a 2.18% increase.
The company's licensing and distribution revenues have increases 21% to Rs 25.1 crore for the quarter from Rs 20.7 crore during the same period last year, according to a company release.
"With most of the properties expected to be delivered over the next 18-24 months, we expect this business to deliver significant net cash flows from next financial year onwards," the company said in the release.
The company's scrip is currently trading at Rs 21, up 2.44% over the previous close of Rs 20.50.
