Dr Reddy & #39;S Unveils Healthcare Portal

Dr Reddy's Laboratories has launched Livizi.com, an e-healthcare initiative that caters to the health needs in an unique approach.

Livizi claims to have an holistic approach to health covering physiological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects.

It is a multi-lingual site providing content in 10 Indian languages, besides English, with interactive features such as Ask an Expert, Kaun Banega Arogyapati and E-Consultation.

Speaking on the occasion, Satish Reddy, managing director and chief operating officer of the company, said the initiative is an integral part of the company's strategy to reach end-consumers by harnessing the power of Internet.

He said the company has so far invested Rs 40 lakh to develop the site and proposes to invest a total of Rs 3 crore over the next two years.

"As the site grows, e-commerce will be one of the aspects. But, it is not the primary aspect," he said. He, however, added that the company does not intend to promote its own products through the site.

Reddy said specialists from different fields of medicine will contribute articles and also provide online consultation on topics ranging from nutrition, fitness and herbs to stress management. Livizi will also enable doctors to interact with their patients and provide online services.
