Dry port set up in Punjab

Gurudev Impex Pvt Ltd has set up a container freight station (CFS) for providing logistics facility for export and import of shipment at Mandi Gobindgarh, often referred to as the steel town of Punjab.

Approved by the Union commerce ministry, the new CFS, spread over 8 acres, would have a capacity of handling 3,000-3,500 containers per month. The company has engaged 150 heavy-duty trucks capable of transporting containers from the Ludhiana Inland Container Depot to Mandi Gobindgarh.
