 "Eicher Motors Q1 profit rises 42% to Rs 139 crore")
The company had posted a profit of Rs 97.94 crore in the same period of 2012-13.
Net sales rose to Rs 1,899.91 crore from Rs 1,708.60 crore a year earlier, Eicher Motors said in a BSE filing. The company follows a January-December financial year.

Eicher shares traded at Rs 6,635 on the BSE in late afternoon trade, up 2.19%.
