Elder Pharma Q2 net up 47% at Rs 13.68 crore

Drug firm Elder Pharmaceuticals today posted a 47 per cent surge in consolidated net profit to Rs 13.68 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010.

The company had registered a net profit of Rs 9.30 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2009, Elder Pharmaceuticals said in a statement.

During the quarter, the company's income from operations stood at Rs 210.65 crore, compared to Rs 174.95 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

The company also said it raised around Rs 69.70 crore during the quarter through qualified institutional placement.
