Essar Steel signs MoU to improve health-care in Keonjhar

The MoU has been signed as part of the company's corporate social responsibility

The Essar Steel Company has signed an MoU with the Zilla Swasthya Samiti in Odisha's Keonjhar district as part of its corporate social responsibility to provide improved health-care to the people.
 
The company which signed the MoU yesterday to improve the quality of life of people in tribal-dominated, poverty stricken Telkoi Block, would provide secondary health services through human resources, infrastructure and sanitation in the Community Health Centre at Telkoi, a company release said today.
 
The MoU was signed between Keonjhar district Collector and Chairman of Zilla Swasthya Samiti, Bishnu Prasad Sahoo, and Chief Executive of Essar Steel's Odisha operations, Rajendra Kumar Mittal, it said.
 
The health service would cater to all families in 149 villages of 20 gram panchayats of Telkoi Block.
 
A paediatric specialist once each week, full-time laboratory technicians, a hospital manager, 6 security personnel, 4 attendants cum sweepers, lighting, medicines and medical laboratory equipment would be provided.
