You may be well-settled and satisfied in your job and your company considers you an asset. You are unlike an active job seeker who may be registered with a jobsite on the Net or a recruiting firm waiting to jump ship at the first opportunity.

But you are just the right kind of person many a firm is looking for "" 'a passive job-seeker' who is not looking for a job but jobs are looking for whom.

So if you fit into the above description then don't be surprised if you get a mail making an enticing offer. There are a host of people out there searching for the 'right' people for many a firm that wants such people.

"We have a set of people doing just that, hunting for e-mail IDs on the Internet," said Amitabh Das, CEO, Vati Consulting. Firms are increasing outsourcing the recruitment process. Cost, volumes, scaleability and time are the key issues in recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) which holds a key to the future, says Das.

With most of the people in hi-tech industries connected to the net and with e-mail IDs now in the public domain, it has become a way for head hunters and recruitment firms to touch base with people via the net and offer them jobs.

The sectors that experience a high employee turnover and hence need to recruit in big volumes frequently, and industries that have high growth opportunities are the targets for Vati Consulting.

It claims a good clientele in the IT, ITeS and BPO sectors and has placed 2,000 to 2,500 people in various companies since being founded some three years ago.
