Construction company Gammon India today posted a net profit of Rs 54.79 crore for the three-month period ended March 2010, while the same was at Rs 72.63 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Figures of the present quarter are not comparable with that of previous year due to a merger scheme between the company and Associated Transrail Structures, Gammon India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exhcange (BSE).
For the three-month period ending March 2010, net sales of the company stood at Rs 1,669.28 crore.
