Garden Silk Mills today said its net profit rose by 17.50% to Rs 27.32 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011, over the same period previous fiscal.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 879.79 crore for the fourth quarter, compared to Rs 687.39 crore in the same period last fiscal, Garden Silk Mills said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company's net profit for the year ended March 31, 2011, stood at Rs 84.41 crore, against Rs 63.20 crore in the previous fiscal.
For the year ended March 31, company's net sales stood at Rs 3404.13 crore, compared to Rs 2514.89 crore in the last fiscal.
Shares of Garden Silk Mills today closed at Rs 104.75 on BSE, down 2.83% from its previous close.
