The division invested Rs 6 crore last fiscal into new technologies.
According to D E Byramjee, VP & business head of the security equipment division, “We are seriously looking at integrated solutions to offer security for a wide area. The integrated security solutions will enable prevention of mishaps, thanks to our tracking and surveillance solutions. So far, most solutions are used for post-mortem, but we are approaching state governments and institutions to install solutions that can prevent mishaps, like bomb threats, and others..”
The division expects to earn Rs 100 crore by 2009-10 from the integrated equipment solutions. Overall, the division expects 35 per cent growth year on year to touch Rs 1000 crore by 2030.
“We are in talks with various temples and institutions in West Bengal for deployment of integrated security solutions. We are likely to close a deal with ISKON for its Mayapur temple,” informed Priyesh Kumar Deb, senior manager - sales and service security equipment division.
