HUL Q2 net down 2.6% at Rs 962 cr

Announces interim dividend of Rs 6.50 per share; total income rises 2.6% to Rs 8,125 cr

India's largest consumer goods company Hindustan Unilever reported a marginal drop of 2.6% in net profit at RS 962 crore for the quarter ended September 2015 as against Rs 988 crore in the same period a year ago.

However, the total income of the Indian unit of the Anglo-Dutch consumer group Unilever Plc increased 3.6% to Rs 8,125 crore as against Rs 7,837 crore in the year-ago period.

The company announced interim dividend of Rs 6.50 per share.

At 1515 hours on Wednesday, the company's scrip on BSE was trading 1.5% lower at Rs 800.25.
