As the latest entrant to try its luck for the much awaited banking licence, India Infoline will submit its application with RBI for new banking license. On Thursday, India Infoilne has informed BSE that the Board of Directors at its meeting approves proposal for making new banking licence application to RBI under Guidelines for licensing of new banks in private sector.
Others who are submitting applications include SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd, Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd, JM Financial in collaboration with Vikram Pandit (ex-Citi Bank chief), Infrastructure finance entity IDFC, Religare Enterprises and Tourism Finance Corporation of India (TFCI).
