India Yamaha Motor total sales up 34% in May

Two-wheeler maker Yamaha Motor India Sales (YMIS) today reported 34% increase in total sales for May at 49,460 units.
    
The company had sold a total of 36,956 units in the corresponding month last year, YMIS said in a statement.
    
In the domestic market, the company registered a rise of 30% in its sales at 34,104 units compared to 26,287 units in the year-ago period, it added.
    
In the export markets, YMIS sold 15,356 units in May 2013 as against to 10,669 units in the same month last year, achieving a growth of 44%.
