Industrialist K K Birla passes away
Senior industrialist K K Birla (90) expired around 10 am at his residence in Kolkata today.
He is survived by his three daughters Nandini Nopany, Jyotsna Poddar and Sobhana Bhartia.
K K Birla, who had lost his wife a few months ago, was the son of Birla family patriarch Ghanshyam Das (G D) Birla.
His companies include a cluster of sugar ventures, a set of engineering companies led by Texmaco Industries and media properties like Hindustan Times.
