Software major Infosys Technologies Ltd said on Thursday that it would contest the ruling by the Chennai bench of the Intellectual Property Appellate Board, which has held that it cannot hold a monopoly on the trademark 'Iinfosys'.

"We will fight it out. There is no problem," Infosys chairman and chief mentor N R Narayana Murthy told reporters here on the sidelines of a banking conference.

Murthy, however, did not elaborate on the issue citing the firm was in the silent period ahead of its second quarter results.
