Noida-based Jakson Power Solutions Ltd today launched India’s first mobile solar power generator sets and solar water purifiers. The company aims at garnering Rs 200 crore revenue from the new products over the next three years.

Jakson would roll out the new products from its upgraded facility with an annual manufacturing capacity of 5,000 units in Greater Noida. The company has invested close to Rs 40 crore in the expansion of the facility.

“We will set up a new dealers and distribution network to market the new products to customers demanding mobile generators, typically in the defense and telecom sectors. Also, we are planning to export the products to Africa, West Asia and South-East Asian nations,” Joint Managing Director Sundeep Gupta said.

The company recorded a turnover of Rs 1,350 crore last financial year. A bulk of this, Rs 1,000 crore, came from sales of diesel generator sets while the solar segment accounted for around Rs 60 crore.

“Our overall revenue will increase to Rs 2,500 crore by end 2016. Around Rs 500 crore will come from the solar segment including Rs 200 crore from the new segments,” Gupta said.

Jakson has a current installed solar power generation capacity of 20 Mw in Rajasthan while an additional 10 Mw is being set up in Uttar Pradesh. Overall, the company is targeting spending around Rs 800 crore in setting up 100 Mw capacity solar projects by 2016.
